DAYTON- The Miami Valley Urban League's 3rd Annual Luncheon was a time to celebrate achievements, and light a spark toward more community engagement. Hundreds of people poured into Ponitz Great Hall at Sinclair Community College on Wednesday, May 23 to raise money for job training and to recognize two people dedicated to the Miami Valley community.
The MVUL 2018 Pillars are artist & educator Willis "Bing" Davis and Ro Nita Hawes-Saunders, CEO of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC). Mr. Davis was an art instructor in the Dayton Public Schools, Central State, Miami and DePauw Universities. He now runs his own art gallery and studio.
