Duke Energy looking for lineworkers, offers steady pay increases
CINCINNATI- The Urban League is partnering with Duke Energy to hire lineworkers. Starting pay is $22 an hour. If you're interested, you must attend one information session at the Urban League. The sessions are Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12 at 6 p.m. at the Urban League office, 3458 Reading Road. Again, you only need to attend one of the information sessions. We are expecting a crowd, so give yourself extra time to find parking.

Lineworkers/groundpersons are outside each day constructing, maintaining and restoring equipment to ensure reliable energy service. Duke Energy offers extensive training, so prior experience is not required.

To apply, candidates must be at least 18, must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, adhere to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and pass a criminal background check. For more info, call the Urban League at (513) 281-9955.
