CINCINNATI- They belted out “I Can Make You Dance” and that’s exactly what’s going to happen at the 30th Annual Urban League Gala & Silent Auction.
That’s right, pioneering funk band Zapp will deliver “More Bounce to the Ounce”, “Computer Love”, “Dance Floor” and other hits that will yank you out of your seat. The Gala & Silent Auction is Saturday, September 22 at the Duke Energy Convention Center at 7 p.m. The event is black tie preferred, but wear shoes you can dance in because you are going to want to dance!
Oh, there’s more. Grammy Award winning vocalist Howard Hewett will bring a touch of romance when he takes the stage. The Deron Bell Band, never disappoints and will also keep the night full of music. Reservations are $150 each, $1,500 for a 10-person table. You can make your reservation, HERE. Mercy Health is the presenting sponsor. Anthony and DeDe Muñoz, and Carl and Dawn Satterwhite are the 2018 Gala Co-chairs.
The Young Professionals Suits & Sips Soirée After-Party is open to all, so don't let the party stop when the gala ends. Head on over to the Duke Energy Junior Ballroom for some more dancing and good times with the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Southwestern Ohio. We'll have reservation details for the after-party soon, so be sure to check back.
The theme of this year's Gala is "Celebrate" and that's exactly what we are going to do. This may be our 30th Annual Gala, but get ready for a revamped look and fresh spin. This will be a wonderful night where we recognize people making a positive difference in the community, while raising money to support Urban League programs. The Mission of the Urban League is to transform generations by promoting personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency. Your support makes that possible. Thank you. We’ll see you at the Gala!
