The Suit Yourself Gentlemen’s Clothing Closet was established in 2010 by the Greater Cincinnati Urban League. What started as a conversation amongst staff members to identify a way to fill the need for men within our city has grown into a valued resource for nearly a decade. Like our partner, Dress 4 Success, Suit Yourself assists men participating in our Life Ready programming and young men affiliated with the Urban League to gain access to professional attire. Helping to bring our vision to life was the Workforce Development Advisory Board spearheaded by Stephen Tucker and Joe Hummel. With the support of Men’s Wearhouse, Cintas, Macy’s and several other local companies our Suit Yourself Gentlemen’s Clothing closet has provided over 1,000 suits to Urban League graduates and community members.
Each year MensWearhouse hosts its National Suit Drive, and the Greater Cincinnati Urban League is the non-profit recipient in Cincinnati. All items received from this generous effort are distributed to our participants at no cost.

Gentlemen's Clothing Closet
In November 2018, the Greater Cincinnati Urban League launched its newest initiative, the Gentlemen’s Clothing Closet. This initiative is a way to not only fill the gap within our Life Ready programming but to make sure our customers have access to cost-effective suiting options as they continue to progress throughout their professional journey. For as little as $72.00 you can walk away feeling like a million bucks and know that the purchase of your suit, shirt, tie, socks, shoes, and belt purchased from the Gentlemen's Clothing Closet will continue to give back to the community and foster change. Dollars generated through our Gentlemen’s Clothing Closet enable us to enhance our training, support staff development and provide additional items to ensure our men look the part as they advance within their careers.
