The Urban League has forever changed my life. In 2013, I was invited to attend an Urban League Young Professional meeting. Little did I know that this was the very first planning meeting for the launch of the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Southwestern Ohio. As a founding member and immediate past president of the Young Professionals, I have grown personally and professionally through my volunteer work with the League. Being involved with the league has allowed me to serve my community in various capacities from volunteering at Woodward to planning candidate forums. I love knowing that I am able to help the Urban League fulfill its mission of transforming generations by promoting personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency. It is truly a blessing to be part of a national movement of people throughout the country who are dedicated to empowering lives and changing communities!
