Keeping to our mission to transform generations by promoting personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency, our financial empowerment class focuses on financial basics, such as paying down debt, increasing savings and improving credit scores through our Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). The FOC also assists people with tax preparation and individual financial coaching. We help participants recognize the benefit of committing to a long-term financial plan to increase income, decrease expenses and acquire assets. This sets them on the road to breaking the pattern of generational poverty in their families.
