We've launched a groundbreaking apprenticeship readiness program called Building Futures. We want to equip you with essential life skills, financial literacy, and construction trade knowledge to prepare you for a successful career in the building trades.


Program Details

  • 12-week program
  • Earn as you learn with a weekly stipend 
  • No experience in the construction industry is required to apply
  • Career assistance with one of the affiliated trades provides participants with competitive starting wages, health, and retirement benefits.

* Attendance is required and strictly adhered to for participants to successfully complete the program.

In collaboration with key stakeholders such as Hamilton County Board of Commissioners, City of Cincinnati, Ohio Department of Transportation, AFL-CIO, and the Cincinnati Building and Construction Trades Council, the 12-week program helps pave the way for YOUR success in the southwestern Ohio construction sector.

HOW TO QUALIFY

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

  • Completed application
  • Drug-free
  • 18 or older
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Drivers License/Reliable Transportation
  • Passing Assessment score


Building Futures is modeled after the successful program created by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. The Franklin County Board of Commissioners provided technical expertise to bring this innovative program to Hamilton County.
