Employment Connections

Employment Connections (EC) - Employment Connections comprises several successful job training programs that train participants for in-demand job skills that lead to living-wage employment opportunities in healthcare, customer service, IT, and other industries experiencing employment growth.  


Financial Empowerment Center

Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) - provides a full range of services and support to help individuals and families achieve financial stability, economic self-sufficiency, and build wealth including financial coaching, credit counseling, and financial empowerment workshops. 



Comprehensive Case Management & Employment Services

Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Services (CCMEP) assists and incentivizes low-income young adults to meet their personal and professional goals by developing a career plan, engaging in training activities, and earning and maintaining meaningful employment opportunities. CCMEP focuses on people; building on participants' strengths; improving their skills; and meeting their unique needs to create thriving individuals and families.

ELIGIBILITY

SOAR  (Solid Opportunities for Advancement and Retention)

The Solid Opportunities for Advancement and Retention (SOAR) program assists the unemployed/underemployed with development of marketable job skills. Participants meet eight days over two weeks. Participants are coached on resume development, career exploration, conflict management, business etiquette, employment readiness, and job placement. Coaches spend one-on-one time with participants to identify skills, interests, and goals.  


 The Ohio To Work effort is designed to help job seekers find pathways to careers in IT, Healthcare, and Manufacturing. Ohio To Work combines Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio resources to reach job seekers in the Dayton area by expanding coaching and support services, career services, tools, training programs, and supplementing funding options to cover training costs.

Training Providers 

Gain the skills you need to start a new career! Our career coaches can help you identify your path and explore funding options to make your training experience affordable. Training providers include Sinclair Community College, We Can Code IT, Great Oaks, Kable Academy, Tech Elevator, and many more!
