Miami Valley Urban League (MVUL) excited to receive an investment of $1.5 million in Dayton Recovery Plan funds from the City of Dayton

Miami Valley Urban League (MVUL) is excited to receive an investment of $1.5 million in Dayton Recovery Plan funds from the City of Dayton. Part of the American Rescue Plan Act, The Dayton Recovery Plan is providing MVUL funding through the Supporting Black and Brown Businesses initiative for the purpose of establishing a racial equity fund, creating a micro-grant opportunity fund, and assisting Black and Brown businesses in making capital investments. The investment also supports community education and long-term capacity building.

This funding will help MVUL assist women- and minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in the following categories:

  • Operational emergencies

  • Community investment business grants

  • Community opportunity grants

  • Certification program grants

MVUL plans to deliver over 550 grants to Dayton businesses.
