Thank you to all who joined us for the 2025 Annual Diamond Gala.

We celebrated an unforgettable evening of elegance and impact at the 2025 Urban League Diamond Gala, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the prestigious Sharonville Convention Center. This fundraiser celebrated the life-changing work of the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio and raised funds to support our mission to end generational poverty through advocacy and empowering individuals to establish careers, become entrepreneurs, build wealth, and develop as leaders.

We appreciate everyone who joined us from community leaders, corporate partners, and philanthropists for an evening featuring an elegant dinner, delicious dessert bites, and an open bar. Cincinnati favorite, DJ Vader, kicked off the evening, culminating in an exciting party featuring the Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff. DJ Jazzy Jeff, an iconic, Grammy Award-winning artist and celebrated turntable master, has captivated audiences globally since 1985. Known for his flawless mixing, innovative production, and musical versatility, Jeff rose to fame alongside Will Smith as part of the duo "DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince." Today, he continues to inspire with his live performances, hit production, and collaborations, embodying his lifelong passion for music.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kenyatta Smith, aka DJ Vader, grew up digging through the crates of records in his parents' collection, which included a variety of genres like soul, jazz, funk, techno, pop, disco, and of course, hip hop. During his career spanning over 25 years, DJ Vader has hosted his parties, along with hosting and providing the sounds for hundreds of private parties, corporate events, weddings, and for some of Cincinnati's biggest weekends, such as Blink, The Cincinnati Music Festival, and Cincy Soul.
