Urban League Guild of Greater Southwestern Ohio

The Urban League Guild of Greater Southwestern Ohio is a dedicated auxiliary volunteer group committed to supporting the mission of the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO). As a vital part of the Urban League movement, the Guild stimulates, develops, and promotes volunteer advocacy within the Greater Southwestern Ohio Community.

What does a Guild Member do?

Guild members contribute thousands of volunteer hours annually, playing an essential role in bridging the Urban League’s mission with the communities we serve. They are instrumental in fostering community engagement and leadership development through various initiatives:

  • Mentorship: Guild members provide valuable mentorship to community members, empowering them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
  • Leadership Development: By engaging community members in discussions and activities that shape their lives, Guild members help develop future leaders who are ready to make a positive impact.
  • Fundraising Efforts: Guild members actively raise funds to support ULGSO's programs and services, ensuring that the Urban League can continue to make a difference in the community.
  • Goodwill Ambassadors: Acting as goodwill ambassadors, Guild members represent the Urban League in the community, spreading awareness and fostering relationships that enhance the reach and impact of our initiatives.

The Annual Guild Luncheon

The Urban League Guild of Greater Cincinnati invites you to join them for their highly anticipated Annual Luncheon! This year’s theme is "The Journey Continues: Empower, Elevate, Excel."

We are thrilled to honor two outstanding honorees:

  • Angelita M. Jones, President & CEO of Eastern Personnel Services, Inc., recipient of the Clarise White Award
  • The Multicultural Awareness Council (MAC) of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, recipient of the Juanita Adams Award 

We are excited to feature our highly anticipated Fashion Show produced this year by Midwest Apparel Creative (MAC). Professional models will take the runway in designs from emerging apparel creatives, and trailblazing fashion industry talent curated by Midwest Apparel Creative for a one-of-a-kind showcase, elevating the Urban League Guild Annual Luncheon with bold style and visionary design.
